  1. Apologies - To receive any apologies and reasons for absence.
  2. Disclosure of Pecuniary Interests

    a) To receive any disclosure of pecuniary interest - Members are reminded that they must not participate in the discussion or voting on any matter in which they have a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest and should leave the room prior to the commencement of the debate.

    b) To consider any applications for Dispensations under s33 of the Localism Act 2011.

  3. Public Participation Time

     a period of 15 minutes will be set aside for residents of Wem Town to speak.

  4. Planning

    a)  Shropshire Local Plan Review - Regulation 19: Pre-Submission Draft of the Shropshire Local Plan – to consider the Town Council’s response

    b) To consider the following planning applications

    i) 21/00307/FUL Castle Mound House 67 High Street Wem SY4 5DR

    Proposal: Repair and utilise the attached outbuilding at the rear of the house, works to include constructing a new studwork partition on the first floor, reapplying an external render finish, enlarging garden WC by incorporating the wood store. Works also include extending existing rear lobby with new and enlarged rear entrance hall with new staircases and understairs WC. 

    ii) 21/00308/LBC Castle Mound House, 67 High Street, Wem, SY4 5DR

    Proposal: Works to Listed Building to include studwork partition walling; re-applying external render, extensions to rear lobby, new staircases and understairs WC all associated works. 

    iii) 21/00221/FUL 24 Noble Street Wem SY4 5DZ

    Proposal: Installation of 28 solar panels on roof slopes 24 Noble Street Wem SY4 5DZ

    iv) 21/00222/LBC 24 Noble Street Wem SY4 5DZ

    Proposal: Alterations in connection with installation of solar panels to roofslope 

    v) 21/00403/TPO Creamore Villa, Whitchurch Road, Wem, SY4 5QR

    Proposal: Cedar (T1) - Remove one storm damaged limb, remove one other limb which overhangs adjacent Oak tree and which is shading the healthy Oak; Silver Birch (T2) Fell - over-mature and dying protected by Shropshire Council (Fismes Way and Oakley Meadow, Wem) TPO 2015

  5. Wem Sports and Social Association

     to consider a request from trustees for a contribution from the Bulmer Cottage Fund to cover the cost of the partial demolition of the building

  6. CIL Local

    to consider the submission of an expression of interest to the CIL Local fund towards the cost of the rebuild of the Butler Sports Centre

The Town Council meets on the last Thursday of every month except December at 7.00 p.m in the Meeting Room, Wem Library High Street  Wem.
The Town Council meeting starts with Public Question time and residents can attend and raise issues with the members.
A copy of the agenda for these meetings is displayed on the notice board outside the Town Hall, High Street and on this website.
